It tells this story of a father, his son and a donkey who were returning home after a hard day of work in the fields. The son was sitting on the donkey while the father accompanied them on foot.
As they passed a small village, they heard how one woman said to another:
-What to do! May a son so young and so strong make his father walk while he is on the donkey's back. What shamelessness!
Hearing the comment, the son tried to convince his father to change positions for the rest of the way.
So the father sat on the donkey's back and the son continued on foot.
They had barely left the village when they came across a pilgrim who, seeing them, could not help but comment aloud:
"Look at those two!" The father on the donkey's back while the poor son has to walk ... Shame on him! What a father!
Hearing the comment, the father thought that perhaps the man was right and that both of them could go on the donkey why not. So they both climbed onto the animal's back.
When they had little left to reach their town, they found a priest who made them stop:
"Aren't you ashamed?" Poor animal! You have to be very lazy and very cruel to do something like that ... You up there, very comfortable, while the donkey can no longer with your soul.
"But ..." The father tried to justify himself.
—Ni but nothing! Replied the priest, "come down now before you kill this poor animal."
Father and son got out and continued the path they had left on foot, next to the donkey.
And so they finally reached their town ...
As soon as they entered the Plaza Mayor they realized that a group of people were pointing at them while laughing out loud.
Look at those! You can't be more silly, they have a donkey and they both walk ... And the donkey is so calm!
