The Mirror Rule

The protagonist, Eiko, is concerned that her son, Yuta, has no friends at school or in the neighborhood. They tend to sideline and mess with him. Furthermore, Yuta is closed in on himself and does not want to talk to her. Eiko also feels that her husband does not support her and does nothing to help her son. Her husband one day passes her the card of a psychologist friend, Yaguchi, and she takes it without much intention of talking to him. Until a day comes when he can't take it anymore and calls him. She will be quite surprised at what Yaguchi tells her and the method of help that she proposes, which is none other than facing her own personal and intrinsic problems to understand those around her. Yaguchi bases his method on "the law of the mirror", which says that our external reality is but a reflection of our interior, and forgiveness plays a very important role in our lives and those of those around us.
