The Law of Unity presents a special challenge for both of them, because its transcendent nature only makes it understandable from a higher state of consciousness. The Law of Unity calls out to the great understanding that we are not as separate as we appear: in reality we are all one being, one consciousness.
The Law of Unity is not easy for the little me to understand because it does not coincide with daily perception. So let's first assume that at the level of daily reality, we actually have separate bodies, minds, and emotions. If I have a thought, it does not necessarily arise at the same time in your mind; If I experience an emotion, you may not feel the same way; If I hit my tibia, you don't feel the pain.
The Law of Unity is a paradox: false and true, depending on our state of consciousness. Conventional knowledge tells us that we are separate; Higher wisdom informs us that We are all One.
A change of perception reveals that we are all the same Consciousness, manifesting in different bodies, in the same way that the leaves are part of the same tree. Humanity tends to forget this higher truth and focus only on our apparent differences, on our apparent separation.
What happens if we choose to see others as an aspect of ourselves, perceiving ourselves as One?
In Unity are all the Spiritual Laws: a state of balance and equanimity, perfect faith in the choices you make and in the process of your life, the necessary patience as you walk step by step in the eternal present, compassion for all others, parts of you, aspects of your Being.
You are in every act of kindness and cruelty, of cowardice and courage. One and many, highs and lows, unpleasant and sweet, you are the Earth, and all the space above and below.
