Time is like a film of life that consists of different montages that pass before a lens. Each montage is where you exist, in a current moment, but the montages seem to move. You can project your mind into what we call the past or the future, but you cannot live at any other time than in the present.
You can practice the Law of Presence in different ways to clear regrets, worries, or confusion. Your ability to refocus your attention back to the present grows with practice. Someday, you may be able to live in the present naturally.
Knowing and doing are not necessarily the same thing. When you have a problem, it involves something past or future. You keep problems alive in your mind in the present by putting your attention and energy, letting them live without rent in your head.
In order to have a presence, you have to be present and be aware of where you are and when you are. Presence teaches you that what you do today is important, because you are giving a day of your life in return. Therefore, let this law clear your mind of unnecessary ruins and return you to a state of clarity, simplicity, and inner peace.
